The University of Macau (UM) Men’s Basketball Team and Women’s Basketball Team both won championships at the Macau University Basketball Championship 2016. The men’s team has also qualified to participate in next year’s China University Basketball Association (CUBA) league. Lai Ka Tong from the men’s team received the Top Scorer Award and the Most Valuable Player Award in the men’s category. Leong Fong Mui and Sou Chi Cheng from the women’s team received the Top Scorer Award and the Most Valuable Player Award in the women’s category, respectively.
